Clio Connect

Our law firm uses Clio, a secure and robust law practice management cloud service to manage matters, time records for work performed, client invoices and to securely communicate with clients. We may send you an e-mail to you open an account with Clio Connect, Clio's web portal for clients. Retainer deposits

Retainer deposits are refundable deposits that are made into our law firm's trust account. Retainer deposits secure the payment of both attorney's fees and expenses. They can also be drawn upon to pay certain expenses directly. We do not accept retainer deposits by credit card. To post your initial retainer deposit or to replenish it, you can send us a check, made payable to "Maldonado Myers LLP TTEE" or you can place a wire transfer directly into our trust account. If you need the wire transfer instructions, you will find them inside the Documents section in Clio Connect. If you are mailing us a check, please send it to:

Submitting payments

Once an invoice is issued, the balance due should be covered by your existing retainer deposit. If it is not then you need to submit payment for the balance due, in addition to replenishing your retainer deposit. Payment of outstanding balances can be made by check, wire transfer or credit card.

In some instances, when we have agreed to a flat fee or some alternative fee arrangement where a flat fee if charged at the outset of the matter, we can accept payment of such fee by credit card at the outset.
